MNSAA Accreditation
San Miguel completed its initial accreditation under the Minnesota Nonpublic School Accrediting Association (MNSAA) in 2009. The process, focused on accountability and school improvement, included a rigorous self-study and creation of a new strategic plan.
The MNSAA report highlighted the school's five most significant areas of strength. They include:
- The Graduate Support Program is a unique and valuable asset to this school and to the greater community.
- In communicating with the various stakeholders of San Miguel, it is clear that there is a strong sense of mission and a high level of satisfaction.
- It is immediately apparent that the rapport between staff and students contributes greatly to the positive school climate and sense of satisfaction.
- The San Miguel administration team's dedication and leadership are highly valued amongst school stakeholders.
- The organization and work of the San Miguel Mission Advancement Office and Board of Directors is exemplary.
Accreditation was granted without exception, a significant achievement in the school's history.
Catholic Identity Validated
The Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis validated San Miguel's Catholic identity in conjunction with the school's accreditation. San Miguel's program, religion curriculum, school culture, and operations were reviewed to ensure consistency with the Catholic Church as well as the policies of the Archdiocese.
